How it Works

Email me at sewshaw@gmail.com, describing your toy, the nature of the damage, and what repairs are needed. Please include photos if you can. I will make suggestions as to how it could be repaired or restored, and an estimation of the price.
 
If you wish to go ahead, and this is agreed by email, I will tell you the date your toy has been booked into the Sew Shaw diary. I will also tell you where to send your toy. Please send your toy the week before they are booked in.
 
Time needed to complete repairs will vary, varying from a few days for straightforward repairs, to several weeks or months for more complex repairs. Email for further details. If you have a deadline (eg birthday gift) in mind, or if the toy belongs to a young child (or adult with learning disabilities), I will do my best to offer an express service. Please let me know.

Please note, depending on my current workload, I may operate a waiting list. I will advise you of this by email, at the discussion stage.
 
Payment
Once the repairs/restoration are complete, I will send you some photos of the completed work, and a request for payment by Paypal. Once payment has been received, your item will be sent back to you. If you prefer not to pay by Paypal, please contact me to arrange an alternative.
 
Depending on the expected cost of the order, Sew Shaw reserves the right to charge a deposit.
 
 
Postage and Packaging
Delivery costs are included in the price you pay, unless otherwise discussed. Items are normally sent 1st Class Signed For (Recorded Delivery). If you would prefer Special Delivery, please let me know, and this will be reflected in the price. The customer is responsible for cost of posting the toy to Sew Shaw, and ensuring the toy is packaged appropriately.
 
Sew Shaw has a policy of reusing and recycling packaging where possible. This reduces costs for the customer (besides which, it goes against everything in me to throw away perfectly good boxes and jiffy bags!) If you would particularly prefer new packaging, please let me know, and this will be reflected in the cost.
 
 
In the unlikely event that you are not happy with your order, please contact Sew Shaw immediately, and I will try to put it right.
